Sandra Mujinga's artistic practice encompasses installations, sculptures, video, music, photography, and performance. As an artist, she explores how we relate to bodies perceived as "other." By creating encounters with unfamiliar beings, Mujinga invites us to imagine alternative ways of existence and coexistence. Inspired by Afrofuturism, posthumanism, and science fiction, she creates immersive environments where sculpture, sound, and light converge. Skin to Skin is published on the occasion of her eponymous solo exhibition – and her most ambitious installation to date – at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, on view from 13 September 2025 to 11 January 2026, and Belvedere 21 in Vienna, on view from 29 January to 31 May 2026. The publication offers an in-depth insight into her speculative world.
